Individuals who want to obtain their Tax Identification Number (Tax ID) through their National Identification Number (NIN) should follow the procedure below:

  1. Go to either https://taxid.jtb.gov.ng or https://taxid.nrs.gov.ng using your web browser.
  2. On the homepage, select the “Individual” option.
  3. Choose National Identification Number (NIN) as your preferred identification method.
  4. Input your 11-digits NIN correctly.
  5. Click on “Retrieve Tax ID” to proceed.
  6. Provide your First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth exactly as recorded with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
  7. Click “Continue” to complete the process.

Once completed, your 13-Digits Tax ID will appear on the screen.
